🎉🚧 Big News for Gnoll Estate Country Park!
|
Work is about to start on our ambitious £12m project to modernise visitor facilities and restore historic features at the much-loved Gnoll Estate Country Park! 🌳
This incredible transformation, funded by UK Government for the Vale of Neath, will take approximately a year to complete and aims to enhance the park for regular visitors while attracting new ones from near and far. Here’s what you can look forward to:
• Demolition of the current visitor centre • A brand-new, fully accessible two-storey visitor centre with: • A modern café • Stunning south-facing balcony views across the lake • Event, meeting, and conference facilities • A dedicated children’s soft play space • An exciting new woodland adventure playground for families • Consolidation and repair of the Gnoll House ruins • Restoration of the park’s spectacular and historic Cascades • Information and interpretation installations detailing the park’s rich history • Extensions to recreation and walking routes with a new bridge linking to Brynau Farm’s 57 hectares of Woodland Trust land
The project will also include landscaping, parking, and other improvements. While the work is ongoing, we’ll have temporary catering facilities and toilets in place to welcome you. The popular Parkrun event will continue with an alternative route, and a temporary path will ensure walkers can still enjoy a circular route around the lake.
Pond Cottage will also undergo a significant upgrade, offering stunning overnight accommodation for up to six people in three beautifully decorated double bedrooms with breathtaking views over the park.
