The Additional Restrictions Grant (Discretionary Grant Fund) is now open for applications.

To apply, please click on the appropriate link below. Please ensure you apply for the correct scheme.

The scheme closes for applications at midday on 31 March 2021, or when available funds are exhausted. We will send out an update via this newsletter if all funding has been allocated before the deadline.
The Additional Restrictions Grant (Discretionary Grant Fund) has been introduced to support those who are ineligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (for closed businesses) and other support schemes related to business rates.


The scheme provides a one-off payment of £3,000 to all eligible businesses.
  • Businesses that are legally required to close, but are not registered for business rates

  • Businesses that are not legally required to close, but have been severely impacted by the latest restrictions (including businesses registered for rates)
  • Businesses from all industries, including self-employed sole traders and home based businesses

 


Your business is ineligible if:

  • You were not trading immediately prior to 5 January 2020

  • The business is in administration, is insolvent or a striking-off notice has been made AND/OR

  • You have already received grant payments equal the maximum state aid limits

  • The business qualifies for the LRSG (Closed) Addendum scheme or the Closed Business One-off Lockdown Payment
There is a limited budget for the Additional Restrictions Grant scheme.

Grants will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, until available funds are exhausted, or the scheme deadline is reached (whichever comes first, scheme deadline is Midday on 31 March 2021).
 
Grant applications will be processed as received to ensure businesses receive funding as soon as possible.
