In partnership with Henley Town Council, Oxfordshire Greentech and Naked Planet, we hosted Henley’s very first Eco Business Fair, highlighting the brilliant green and sustainable approaches of local businesses in and around Henley.

Our first in-person event since January 2020 was hosted in Henley Town Hall and in the marketplace on Wednesday 22 September 2021, from 10:00 – 15:00.

Over 150 people came along to talk to and learn from a variety of exhibiting businesses throughout the day. Inside the Henley Town Hall, 10 talks took place, covering an assortment of sustainable topics.

Vale of White Horse District Council’s cabinet member for community engagement, Councillor Bethia Thomas, attended the event and provided some great feedback:

‘I just wanted to say thanks to all involved in organising the event yesterday – I had a really good time and learnt a lot. It was quite overwhelming to see so many progressive businesses and organisations out there.’

The AJ Bell Women’s Tour cycle race visits Oxfordshire

On Monday 4 October 2021, thousands of people from across Oxfordshire and beyond are expected to line the route as around 100 professional riders race through the county as part of the prestigious AJ Bell Women’s Tour cycling event.

To ensure we make the most of this event, we would encourage as many businesses as possible on the route to get involved to mark the occasion - this could be as simple as lining the route to watch the race, creating a cycling themed window display, creating a cycling themed menu, or organising a competition for staff or customers.

Further information can be found on the official Women's Tour website.
