The carbon footprint of digital activity is hidden, and most companies and organisations do not yet think about the impact their activity is having on the climate. However, this is beginning to change, with studies starting to highlight the impact.

Despite the size of the challenge, many businesses are unaware of their digital carbon footprint, or of the simple things they can to do make a difference.

We've partnered with Sustainable Results Lab to bring businesses based in South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse a free workshop on the simple steps your business can take to reduce your digital carbon footprint.

Date and time:

Thursday 4 November 2021
10:00 - 11:00

By learning how to make your digital operations greener, you are also improving your business. From faster page load times to improved user accessibility, the changes will support you to grow revenue sustainably.

With increasing evidence that consumers are making purchasing decisions based on a businesses’ environmental credentials, this practical workshop will equip you with the easy-to-implement steps you can take to reduce your digital pollution.

Following the workshop, we will send you our in-depth guide on the easy-to-implement changes your business can make to green the web while increasing the impact of your website, marketing and communications.

Join us in building a zero-carbon economy, one customer at a time!

SVBS have teamed up with the Networking In... team to bring businesses based in South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse a new series of virtual networking events.

The new partnership is part of our drive to increase the opportunities for South and Vale businesses to access local information and expertise in a Covid-19 secure way over the Winter period.

The virtual events will be curated and hosted by the Outside Ideas team and will take place on the second Wednesday of each month, with the first taking place on Thursday 10 November from 10:30 - 12:00.

We encourage South and Vale businesses to join us for the first event as we welcome Mike Lawton, Co-Founder and Director of Oxford Dynamics, to talk about 'Working the media'. Mike is a serial entrepreneur and has previously worked at the BBC. He’ll be sharing some tips using real life examples on how you can work the media without having any budget.

During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to tell your story, listen to everyone else’s, and then have the time to make all the connections you want.

The first 40 businesses to register for this event can claim a half-price ticket for just £5, using the code 'SVBS'.

We look forward to seeing you there for some fun, informal networking!
