Welcome to the latest edition of the SVBS newsletter.

This week, we're delighted to announce that we’ve used Government's top-up funding for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) to reopen our Winter Support Grants scheme for new applications. Further information and details on how to apply for the grant can be found below.

We're also highlighting three free online events for businesses to highlight the impact of Domestic Abuse and what you can do to support someone if you think they may be a victim. The sessions are brought to you by the South and Vale Community Safety Partnership, and are free to attend.

There are lots more opportunities, events and resources to get stuck into this week, but as always, if you'd like to suggest content for the SVBS newsletter, please get in touch with us.

- Team SVBS
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve used Government's top-up funding for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) to reopen our Winter Support Grants scheme for new applications. This funding is primarily aimed at supporting businesses that are not eligible to claim the OHLG scheme.

We’ve also widened the eligibility criteria to include businesses operating in the hospitality, leisure and personal care sectors. You can find a full list of eligible businesses on our website here.

Click here to find out more and apply for our reopened Winter Support Grants scheme.

Please do not re-apply for the Winter Support Grant if you previously applied to the scheme between 25 November and 16 December 2021. Any applications received during this period will be assessed against the updated criteria before a funding decision is made.
Transformations - changing our response to domestic abuse

- MULTIPLE DATES AVAILABLE

Domestic abuse affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men in their lifetime. It can impact anyone within our communities, and South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils want to better equip people to be able to support and signpost those affected.

The South and Vale Community Safety Partnership is hosting 3 free online events tailored to the hair and beauty industry, including nail bars, tattooists and ear-piercing establishments. The aim of the sessions is to highlight the impact of Domestic Abuse, and give you the opportunity to find out what you can do to support anyone you work with, or your clients, if you think they may be a victim of Domestic Abuse.

Register for the free sessions here.
