Welcome to the latest edition of the SVBS newsletter.

This week, we're focusing on our Winter Support Grants, which close at midday on Wednesday 9 February. We are offering funding under two different schemes - a Hardship Sector Grant and a Start-Up Grant. We're also highlighting the Business Buzz Anniversary Giveaway - if you attend our Abingdon and Thame Business Buzz in-person events, you'll be entered into a prize draw to win a free ticket to attend the Oxfordshire Regional virtual event. Plus, OxLEP's Pre-Start Bootcamp gets underway on Friday 25 February, designed for individuals to focus on the fundamentals of business success.

Businesses based in South and Vale only have until midday on Wednesday 9 February to apply for the Winter Support Grants.

This funding is primarily aimed at supporting businesses that are not eligible to claim the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure scheme (OHLG).

Please do not re-apply for the Winter Support Grant if you previously applied to the scheme between 25 November and 16 December 2021. Applications received during this period will be assessed against the updated criteria before final funding decisions are made.

Business Buzz Anniversary Giveaway 

This February, Business Buzz turns 10! To celebrate, the Business Buzz team are running a giveaway at every Oxfordshire event until the end of the year. Everyone who attends the in-person events will be entered into a draw to win a free ticket to attend that month's Oxfordshire Regional Virtual event.

Team SVBS currently support the Abingdon and Thame in-person events, and we would love for you to join us.

Third Wednesday of each month

Thame Business Buzz:
First Thursday of each month
10:00 - 12:00

The Thame and Abingdon winners will be announced on LinkedIn to help promote their business, and a free ticket will be issued on the Buzz Web App.

OxLEP's Pre-Start Bootcamp

For pre-start and start-ups, OxLEP's bootcamp is designed for individuals to focus on the fundamentals of business success.

Each session will be delivered by an experienced business expert, providing practical content to help you learn and make progress on the day, alongside a group of supportive peers.
