Welcome to the latest edition of the SVBS newsletter.

This week, we're putting a call out for a local organisation to host our Autumn Natural Netwalk. If you'd like to gain exposure for your business and shout about the amazing work you do, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

We're also highlighting the opportunity to have your say on the Central Abingdon Regeneration Framework (CARF) project, plus we're focusing on our ShopAppy platform for local businesses, Energy Saving Funding for businesses, the Enterprise Nation Sustainable Small Business Awards and our in-person Thame Business Buzz event.

There are lots more opportunities, events and resources to get stuck into this week, but as always, if you'd like to suggest content for the SVBS newsletter, please get in touch with us.

- Team SVBS
Following the success of our Natural Netwalks from The Earth Trust and The Old Crown Coaching Inn pub in Faringdon, we're looking for somewhere to host our Autumn Natural Netwalk.

Previously, we have embarked on a 2-3 mile walk before heading back to the host's organisation for teas/coffees and a tour of the facilities.
If you're a local visitor economy or hospitality organisation (such as a pub or café) based in either Abingdon, Thame, Wallingford or Wantage, and you're situated close by to great walking routes, we'd love to hear from you.

This will be a great opportunity to open your doors to over 20 like-minded business people and shout about the work you do.

If this is of interest, please get in touch with us by Friday 8 July.
Vale of White Horse District Council is currently working on a regeneration review for central Abingdon, called the Central Abingdon Regeneration Framework (CARF). The project will include a review of the town centre to identify realistic options for improving buildings, spaces and movement to help make central Abingdon a thriving place in the future.
The Council would like to hear from you to inform the work on the CARF project. A four-week online consultation event is now live, and will close for responses at 11.59pm on
Friday 15 July 2022.
Current proposals can be viewed on Vale of White Horse District Council's consultation webpage. In-person materials will also be displayed throughout the consultation period in the windows of Unit 24, Bury Street (the former H Samuel shop) in Abingdon.

Last chance to receive Energy Saving Funding for Businesses

The Energy Solutions Oxfordshire partnership between Low Carbon Hub and Oxford Brookes Environmental Information Exchange is on a mission to help more businesses save energy and cut carbon. With support from The UK Community Renewal Fund, they only have 5 remaining spaces for businesses to gain several days of funded support from an expert team of energy assessors.

If you have commercial buildings in Oxfordshire and are seeking to act on their energy use or install renewables and low carbon technology, register an interest here.

Support can be offered as an energy assessment, help with finding funding, or overseeing the installation of energy saving measures and renewables.
