Welcome to your latest update from CTS. In this edition we are introducing new faces and new training opportunities for employers in the construction and offshore sectors.
Now offering a stage 1 LEEA Rigging and Lifting course, for those new to the industry
To compliment our existing range of LEEA courses, we are now offering the Stage 1 course which will provide participants with the initial knowledge and skills needed by professionals working in this sector.

What we offer our delegates
  • The opportunity to train in our real-world training environment, based in Liverpool city centre
  • A short but highly informative course. Gain your qualification in 3 days
  • Gain the grounding needed to work in disciplines throughout the lifting industry, both onshore and offshore.
This course is accredited by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA).
Taking our GWO offer to a new level
GWO Advanced Rescue Training
This course has been developed to help to control the risks associated with rescue operations from a wind turbine.

The training elevates rescuer self-reliance and enables successful transport of a colleague who cannot self-evacuate to an assembly point until professional emergency responders arrive.

The Advanced Rescue Training Standard is split into 4 distinct modules, and we offer both the full and refresher courses.

GWO Enhanced First Aid
Do you have staff who need to perform Enhanced First Aid onshore or offshore? That is exactly who this course is for! It can help to ensure your staff are equipped to react appropriately to incidents, therefore mitigating the results of casualties.

Why choose this course?
  • It has been developed in response to the demand for recognisable Enhanced First Aid (EFA) training in the industry
  • Designed by members of the GWO
  • Full and refresher courses available
  • Delegates are trained by industry professionals
What we're reading
Mental health in the construction sector 3.7% higher than other sectors - we plan to help address this
We recently attended the Wellbeing In Construction Summit and were shocked by some of the statistics shared regarding mental health in the construction industry. Did you know that the rates of suicide in construction are 3.7x higher than other sectors?
So we were delighted to read this article in PBC Today that reports the positive steps being taken to address this. We want to help address this issue and have launched a new mental health awareness course for professionals of all levels in all sectors.

If you have colleagues who you'd like to equip with a deeper understanding of mental health in the workplace, contact us to discuss our next courses.
Let us introduce ourselves
Eli "Passionate about up-skilling, Health and Safety and renewables"
Meet Heloisa, or Eli to her friends.

After growing up in the Amazon in Brazil, Eli settled in the UK in 2014 after travelling the world and has been with CTS since 2016. Eli combines her significant industry knowledge (her husband actually works offshore so she knows first-hand what it is like) with her genuine passion for the sector. When asked why she loves her job so much she said;
"There is something incredibly rewarding about guiding people through career change paths, which will improve their quality of life and self-confidence. Through teaching individuals health and safety, we help to reduce accident rates on site in all types of roles and through training people to work in the renewable industry, we do our bit to our future and to have a better world to live in."
Jay "New to CTS but already supporting employers"
Meet Jay, the newest member of the team.

Jay joins us having worked in various sales and account management roles for some of the biggest brands in the world such as Mercedes-Benz and Honda. After moving to Liverpool from Cornwall and joining CTS only a few weeks ago, Jay is already out meeting with employers to better understand their training needs. We asked Jay how his first few weeks have gone;

"My first few weeks have been a steep learning curve but a lot of fun. What is great about CTS is the extensive offer that spans construction, offshore and maritime and the flexible approach. I have already been working with employers to develop bespoke training packages that 100% meet their business needs. I can't wait to meet more and support them too."
