SERVICE RUGBY UNIONS TO AWARD RETROSPECTIVE CAPS FOR ALL INTER-SERVICE WOMEN'S APPEARANCES
Until recently, the history of women's rugby union was not in line with the men's game. Despite being established in 2003, caps for the women's team were not introduced until 2008. A disparity that has now been acknowledged by rugby unions from all three Services, announcing that they will be retrospectively awarding caps for previous Inter Service women’s competitions. 

This brings the history of the Senior women’s team in line with the men’s and marks a significant step forward for women’s sport in the Services. An awards dinner was held at the Victory Services Club last weekend in celebration of this momentous occasion and to honour both past and present players.

We are a small team at the RAF Central Fund in terms of our office staff, but we have an amazing (and growing) family of RAF Central Fund Ambassadors who serve as our conduits on Stations and Units.  They help us identify where our support is most needed, provide support with grant applications, facilitate Station visits, as well as promote the work of our charity and our principal fundraising tool, the RAF Sports Lottery. 
We currently have vacancies for Station Ambassadors at the below Stations. If you are based there and want to support your RAF charity then please get in touch. An interest in sport or physical activity is a bonus and we welcome applications from PTIs.
