The provision of funding through our Enrichment Grant Programme is an integral part of the Fund’s mission, helping to increase opportunities for sport and physical activity across RAF stations and units.

Earlier this year, the Sub-Aqua Club at RAF Akrotiri was awarded a significant grant from the Fund to enable the purchase of new equipment. The updated kit included wetsuits, face masks, flippers, and breathing apparatus - essential equipment to enable the continued safe participation in the sport for their club members.

We are very excited to announce our latest sponsorship with Winmau, bringing world-class dartboards, darts and equipment to the RAF. Winmau are now the official Equipment Provider of the RAF’s newest Sports Association, RAF Darts.

This sponsorship is an incredible step forward for RAF Darts as they establish themselves within the RAF sporting community and inspire a new wave of players, allowing them to develop their teams and compete in military and civilian competitions.

The most highly anticipated fixture in the RAF Rugby League calendar reached its thrilling climax last week, as the Royal Air Force went head-to-head with 2023 champions, the Royal Australian Air Force, in the final of the Tri-Nations Rugby League Tournament 2025.

Having secured a solid victory over the Royal New Zealand Air Force in their opening match, and eagerly watched by the sponsors and home fans, the RAF delivered a second, powerful performance to clinch the title and be crowned champions of this international competition. An incredible milestone in RAF Rugby League history!
