OUR IMPACT IN ACTION
Our 2025 Impact Report captures the people, programmes, and partnerships helping us to deliver meaningful support to serving RAF personnel. From enhancing wellbeing and resilience to creating new opportunities for sport and physical activity, each achievement is powered by collective action.

Ross Perriam, CEO of the RAF Central Fund, explains:

“2025 marked a year of consolidation and forward momentum. We advanced the merger of RAF Sport Associations into the Central Fund structure which simplifies governance and strengthens the sustainability of RAF Sport.

Our external partnerships reached new heights. The launch of our strategic collaboration with Menzies Aviation is already delivering meaningful support across multiple sports and demonstrates the impact of strong, purpose-driven partnerships.

Our Sport Grants programme continues to be a cornerstone of our work, enabling thousands of personnel worldwide to participate in everything from grassroots activity to elite competition.

Beyond subsidising participation, these grants help individuals reconnect with sport, improve wellbeing and strengthen team cohesion – all vital to operational effectiveness.”

Thank you to our beneficiaries, partners and supporters who continue to underpin our work. Read the full report below to learn more about the impact achieved in 2025.
HIGH SPEED, DOWN UNDER - RAF DRONE RACING
The RAF Central Fund remains a vital source of support for serving RAF personnel, enabling them to compete in sport, build skills, and represent the service internationally while pursuing high-performance opportunities alongside their regular duties.

Members of the Model Aircraft Association’s Drone Racing team recently competed overseas for the first time at the Military International Drone Racing Tournament (MIDRT) in Sydney, Australia.

The annual tournament brings together international military teams and some of the world’s most skilled FPV pilots, showcasing the rapidly evolving nature of competitive drone racing on a global stage.

Known in competition as Fru, Witty and Gibbo, we caught up with the RAF drone pilots about the many transferable skills which make them better personnel and find out the importance of our charitable funding to their sport.
A SUMMER OF SPORT
As we head towards summer, there are plenty of exciting sporting opportunities to look forward to over the coming months. From competitions and events to training and 'have a go' sessions, it’s a great time to try something new and stay active.

We regularly share upcoming events and ways to get involved across RAF Sport on our social media channels, so be sure to follow along to stay up to date.
