The Spirit of Loch Ness (Paul Campbell Photography)

This tour encompasses all that is Scotland - mountains, glens, lochs and legends.  Staying at the 3 star Duke of Gordon Hotel in Kingussie, nestled in the Highlands, within the Cairngorms National Park.

We start the day with a Scottish legend and a cruise on Loch Ness before heading to the Inverness, the cultural capital of the Highlands. Here you can stroll along the banks of the River Ness and browse in the indoor Victorian market.

Travel to Fort William with time at leisure and admire the stunning scenery of the west coast. We can include a trip on the gondola ride in Glen Nevis overlooking Aonach Mor (admission cost not included). Crossing beautiful countryside through the majestic glens and past dramatic lochs to the village of Dalwhinnie, The distillery, built in 1897, currently the highest in Scotland, produces a smooth, golden heather honey-like spirit. We enjoy a tour and a tasting to uncover the history behind 'the water of life'.

Delve further into the Highlands and discover Aviemore, Enjoy a nostalgic ride on the Strathspey Railway with some of the most spectacular views in Scotland. Immerse yourself in how Highlanders lived and worked from the 1700's to the 1960's with a visit to the Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore with over thirty buildings and thousands of artefacts.
