Day 1 Travel to the hotel in mid Wales. Day 2 Today's excursion begins across the border in Leominster, where the guide will be met for a tour of the pretty Black & White Villages including medieval Pembridge and Weobley, the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the trail. Day 3 A mostly scenic day today. First stop is the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye, nestled at the top of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. On then to Symonds Yat for an enjoyable cruise on the River Wye through this renowned beauty spot in the Wye Valley, followed by a break at the Old Court Hotel for tea/coffee and biscuits. To make this a circular tour, return to the hotel passing Abergavenny. Day 4 Excursion through the Cambrian Mountains with a scenic drive around the Elan Dams, accompanied by a Ranger. Time at leisure at the centre before continuing for free time in the seaside resort of Aberystwyth. Board the Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway for the hour long journey to Devil’s Bridge before returning to the hotel. Day 5 Homeward journey.

Day 1 Travel to Carmarthenshire via the impressive Brecon Beacons. Day 2 Today is a full day to Tenby, known for a warm atmosphere and fine Victorian houses. Take time to experience the friendly harbour, relax and unwind on one of the three fantastic beaches or simply sit and people watch. For the more adventurous, why not take the twenty minute boat journey to Caldy Island, owned and run by a community of Cistercian monks, open to the public on summer weekdays and Saturdays (crossing is subject to weather and additional cost applies, payable locally). Day 3 Begin the day at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Nestled in the Tywi Valley, the garden combines themed displays, rolling parkland and secluded woodland. The award winning Great Glasshouse is home to a profusion of rare, fragrant, exotic and even spooky plants. Continue to Carmarthen, one of Wales’ oldest towns, before returning to the hotel. Alternatively, if gardens are your passion, we can include admission to Aberglasney Gardens at an additional cost. Day 4 Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gower Peninsula and The Mumbles, an area renowned for its sandy beaches. Visit the Gower Heritage Centre in a converted water mill where a guide will join the coach for a tour of the peninsula's highlights before returning for a cream tea or Welsh Cawl and tour of the mill. This afternoon is at leisure in Swansea. Day 5 Homeward journey.

Day 1 Travel to North Wales. Day 2 First stop today is a visit to Bodnant Foods. Opened in 2012, the vast centre is a development of traditional 18th century farm buildings and includes a bakery, dairy and extensive farm shop all with a firm focus on locally sourced produce, ingredients and gifts. On then to the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, before making your way back to Caernarfon for time at leisure. Day 3 Experience the highs and lows of Snowdonia National Park today. Begin the day with a journey on the narrow gauge Llanberis Lake Railway. Following time at leisure, take a trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and savour breath taking views from the summit. Day 4 A full day at leisure in the popular seaside town of Llandudno with its two sandy beaches and original Victorian features. Alternatively, spend more time in the lovely city of Caernarfon, with its dominating castle, fishing harbours and abundance of craft shops, or venture across the Menai Straits and tour the wonderful Isle of Anglesey with its beautiful scenery, bays and beaches. Stop in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, famous for having the longest town name in Europe. Day 5 Homeward journey.

Day 1 Travel to North Wales with a recommended stop in the medieval city of Chester. Day 2 Travel to Porthmadog for a single rail journey to the slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The historic train ascends over 700 feet, passing through tranquil meadows, past waterfalls and around horseshoe bends. On then to the delightful Italian village of Portmeirion before returning to Llanberis for free time and where, for an additional cost and time allowing, further spectacular views of the National Park can be savoured aboard the narrow gauge Llanberis Lake Railway, or the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Due to timetables, there may be days where it is necessary to reverse excursions. Day 3 A full day excursion to the popular seaside town of Llandudno with its two sandy beaches and original Victorian features. A ride on the Great Orme tramway is also included. Excellent views of the Conwy Estuary, Anglesey and Snowdonia can be enjoyed from this, Britain's only cable-hauled public road tramway. Day 4 A leisurely morning before a short drive to Beddgelert station for the scenic journey along the foothills of Snowdon to Caernarfon. Allow plenty of free time here before returning to the hotel. Day 5 Homeward journey.
