A day of discovery, We head for the North Berwickshire coast via the Pentland Hills and Musselburgh, travelling along the coast to the seaside town of North Berwick. Home to a mix of shops and cafes, venture to the old harbour with striking views over the Firth of Forth and the Bass Rock. We include a visit to the Scottish Seabird Centre and their Discovery Experience to explore the wonders of Scotland's seas. Travel further along the coast to Dunbar with its imposing stone buildings and broad high street, full of unique local businesses before returning back to the Borders.
A leisurely day to visit the New Lanark Mill Visitor Centre, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1785 and known for its pioneering social history. See how the villagers lived, learned and worked. Magnificent views can be taken of the River Clyde from the rooftop garden and, for those that wish, there is a lovely woodland walk.
