Day 1 Travel to Yorkshire with a recommended stop in Holmfirth where 'Last of the Summer Wine' was set.
Day 2 Journey to Embsay to enjoy a return steam train journey to Bolton Abbey (during the main season, journeys usually run on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays only). Rejoin the coach for the short trip to the charming market town of Skipton with time at leisure here to wander around the lovely cobbled streets and shops before taking a relaxing canal trip with hilarious cruise commentary from Dave Spikey.
Day 3 A full day guided excursion through the Yorkshire Dales National Park, to the pleasant market town of Appleby. Board the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway for the journey south to Settle for more wonderful dales scenery. Rejoin the coach and return to the hotel.
Day 4 Travel to the splendid city of York, enjoying the history and culture of this walled riverside city. Visit the magnificent National Railway Museum for an interesting and informative end to the day.
Day 5 Homeward journey.
