Visit the Walled Garden and take a stroll through the vast grounds with its herds of deer, past the mile long ornimental lake. Before returning to the hotel why not visit Wells next to the Sea, rich in history as a fishing and commercial port or the elegant resort of Cromer with its Victorian pier and sea-faring past.

All aboard for our visit to Bressingham Steam and Gardens, featured in the Channel 5 series ‘Inside a Steam Museum’. Home to three narrow gauge railways, what better way to explore the beautiful gardens, woodlands and countryside of Bressingham than by climbing aboard one of the passenger trains. With nearby Thetford Forest a filming location, Bressingham has been the official home to the Dads Army Appreciation Society's collection since 2000 comprising a recreation of Walmington on Sea the fictional home to Captain Mainwaring and his men. Make your return through the Brecklands and Thetford Forest, calling at the market town of Swaffham where the fine Georgian buildings are a reminder that this town has long been a commercial centre.
