Welcome to County Wicklow, ‘The Garden of Ireland’.
Take the afternoon ferry crossing from North Wales, arriving at the 4 star Arklow Bay Hotel in the seaside town of Arklow, situated in its own landscaped gardens with lovely leisure facilities. Offering 91 comfortable double/twin bedrooms with a proportion of step-in showers within the inventory (request). The hotel does have a lift.
Travel across the wilds of the Wicklow Mountains to the picturesque village of Enniskerry, with its picture‑postcard cottages, before the short hop to Powerscourt Estate. 47 acres of magnificent gardens await, as does its beautiful waterfall. Continue on to the seaside town of Bray or the capital city of Dublin.
Take the scenic route to 'Beyond the Trees', an accessible 1.3km tree top walk with viewing tower, visitor centre, walled gardens and courtyards to explore. Here, you will also find Avondale House former home of the Parnells and where Charles Stewart Parnell, one of Ireland’s most well-known political leaders was born. Enjoy a tour here before returning to the hotel via the delightful village of Glendalough, an area renowned for its natural beauty.
Slip over the border into Kildare to the Bog of Allen for a guided tour of the award winning Lullymore Heritage Centre and Discovery Park. Try your hand at traditional peat cutting and take a ride on the Peatland Heritage Railway, before heading back to Co. Wicklow and a tour of Russborough House, said to be Ireland's most beautiful Georgian house.

A long, but worthwhile day into Northern Ireland for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Giant's Causeway. Explore the fascinating basalt stone columns left by volcanic eruptions 60 million years ago or, as legend would have it, the stepping stones of the giant Finn McCool! The state of the art visitor centre offers an enhanced visitor experience providing a flavour of the history, stories and experiences of the Causeway.
Inland to the stunning Glenveagh National Park. Learn about its fascinating history before taking a shuttle bus to the castle and its renowned Gardens. Admission to the castle is possible, subject to availability on the day, at an additional cost paid locally. Later, spend time at leisure in Buncrana, Letterkenny or Derry.

Ireland’s Ancient East is a region of legends and stories from ancient times to modern day. Wander down the cobbled streets of medieval towns; see the world’s oldest working lighthouse; explore castles and gorgeous gardens, in addition to visiting cosmopolitan Kilkenny.

Begin the day in New Ross and a guided tour of the 1840s Dunbrody Famine Ship and its insight and interpretation of the Irish emigrant experience. Waterford is Ireland’s oldest city. Enjoy a tour at the House of Waterford Crystal, where glowing balls of molten crystal are blown in front of your eyes. Venture on to the coastal town of Dungarvan, before heading along 'The Copper Coast' and time at leisure in the seaside resort of Tramore.
It’s a short drive to Huntingdon Castle and Gardens. Built in 1625 and still in the same ownership, a guided tour with a family member will tell tales of this beautiful castle and gardens. On then along the Mount Leinster Heritage Trail, through Fenagh and Bagenalstown, to Kilkenny for time at leisure.
