The Brecon Beacons National Park and the Cambrian Mountains boast spectacular scenery. Combining popular attractions with less visited gems of the region, including a tour of the pretty villages near the England-Wales border. 

Begin across the border in Leominster, with a guided tour of the pretty Black & White Villages including medieval Pembridge and Weobley. 

A mostly scenic day where the first stop is the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye, nestled at the top of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. On then to Symonds Yat for an enjoyable cruise on the River Wye through this renowned beauty spot in the Wye Valley, followed by a break at the Old Court Hotel for tea/coffee and biscuits. To make this a circular tour, return to the hotel passing Abergavenny.

Through the Cambrian Mountains with a scenic drive around the Elan Dams, accompanied by a Ranger before continuing for free time in the seaside resort of Aberystwyth. Board the Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway for the hour long journey to Devil’s Bridge before returning to the hotel.

Staying at the characterful, Victorian 4 * Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells, featuring 109 bedrooms, serviced by a lift with leisure club including an indoor pool and onsite coach parking.
