Our suggested itinerary includes a leisurely two hour narrow boat cruise from Cromford through the beautiful Derwent Valley and time in Bakewell.

Trentham Estate where you can wander through the wonderful gardens and shopping village before heading to the National Memorial Arboretum.

Our suggested itinerary starts with a voyage of discovery starts when joined by a local guide to explore Kingston upon Hull and its maritime history. With additional time to explore, meander through Hull’s Old Town. Take time to visit the local eateries to enjoy a coffee and a cake.

A leisurely drive will take you along the Heritage Coast of East Yorkshire coast. Flamborough Head is a great place to visit if you want to take in some breathtaking scenery. Head on to Bridlington and Filey, a former fishing village now a popular seaside destination with an historic promenade. The Scarborough Fair Collection is then just a short hop away and Scarborough itself.

Visit Burton Constable Hall, just 10 miles from Hull.  One of Yorkshire’s most spectacular historic country houses and best kept secrets before heading on to the pretty market town of Beverley, possessing its very own Minster, like York, and historic town centre.

Staying at the 4 star Delta by Marriott Northampton. Well located for the region with an attractive open plan reception, bar and restaurant and featuring 120 double/twin bedrooms.  There is no lift but plenty of bedrooms on the level with the majority of the rooms being shower over the bath.  From here venture to Oxford, Bletchley Park, RAF Duxford, the Shutteworth Collection to name a few.

Our suggested itinerary includes stunning Waddesdon Manor was once home to the Rothschild family. Built in the style of a French Chateau. The gardens are extensive, ranging from woodland walks to formally laid beds. They remain in keeping with those originally set out by the Rothschild family. 

To Stoke Bruerne for a short canal boat trip and on to Castle Ashby Gardens, with parkland designed by Capability Brown, enjoy a number of wonderful gardens including formal Italian gardens, an Arboretum, and a small Animal Menagerie plus the lovely walled garden tea shop.

A visit to the remarkable Rockingham Castle. Built on the instruction of William the Conqueror and frequented by Charles Dickens, the castle has been in the current owners family for 450 years. Take the afternoon at your own pace in the lovely market town of Huntingdon.
