EXPLORING SOUTH WALES......
Tenby Harbour (Visit Wales)
Oxwich Beach, Gower Peninsula (Visit Wales)
Breathtaking coastal views, green valleys and a rich heritage of traditional music, literature, history and industry. South Wales makes for a fascinating destination. It has much to offer visitors from ancient castles and modern cities to stunning land and seascapes.  Our suggested itinerary includes some of the highlights of  this diverse region of Wales.
Highlights of this tour:
  • Tintern Abbey
  • Cardiff tour and cruise
  • Welsh banquet in Cardiff Castle
  • The Royal Mint Experience
  • St Fagan's Heritage Museum
  • Scenic coastal tours
  • St David's - the smallest city in the UK
  • Traditional arts and crafts
DAY 1 -
Begin exploring at the splendid ruins of Tintern Abbey, nestled on the banks of the beautiful River Wye. Founded over 850 years ago, the importance of this imposing building still emanates from its remains. Take the short journey on to the coastal city of Cardiff, Wales’ dynamic capital, and stay conveniently in the centre. Time at leisure to explore the many shops, cafes and restaurants this vibrant city has to offer.
DAY 2 -
Enjoy a full day exploring Cardiff with a guided tour of the city, including the castle, Principality Stadium and Bay area, where cruises showcase the city from a different perspective. After lunch, visit Cardiff National Museum, home to the largest collection of Impressionist art outside Paris. This evening, enjoy a fun and memorable night at the Welsh banquet with traditional Welsh song and hearty local food at historic Cardiff Castle (minimum numbers apply). Overnight in central Cardiff.
DAY 3 -
Today, visit St Fagan’s National Museum of History and discover Welsh heritage in original cottages, a farm, school and chapel, along with demonstrations of traditional crafts. Transfer to the Royal Mint Experience with a tour and informative exhibition featuring coins minted here for countries around the world.  Continue to the Gower peninsula for a panoramic tour of this beautiful coastline and beaches, the first UK ‘Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty’ and a real gem. Overnight in the Swansea area.
DAY 4 -
Journey through scenic Pembrokeshire, with a visit to a Lovespoon workshop to see how these tokens of great affection have been crafted since the 17th century. Continue on to the delightful harbour town of Tenby. Free time to enjoy lunch and explore before driving on to St Davids – the smallest city in the UK. Famed for its Cathedral, this has been an important pilgrimage site for over 1400 years, with St David being the patron saint of Wales. Continue to the Fishguard/Cardigan area for overnight stay.
DAY 5 -
After breakfast, depart for onward travel around the coast to the mountainous North Wales region, or alternatively take the ferry across to the Republic of Ireland and enjoy a visit to the Emerald Isle.

Floriade is the Netherlands' once in a decade horticultural event. Staged in Almere, close to Amsterdam and themed around 'The Green City of the Future', this huge expo site is already under construction. Visitors can expect a festival to stimulate all the senses.
The Passion Play is a testimony of religious faith and outstanding tradition. The singing, acting and staging are magnificent. Tours usually combine the Passion Play and a second centre destination. Early planning is essential.
