This vibrant city easily shifts between its rich history and traditions, whilst also being at the forefront of the modern world. Many travellers to the UK begin or end their experience in London, often only adding a day or two, however with so much to see, there really is something for everyone.

Day 1 – Begin with a panoramic tour of the main city centre sights, with photo stops where possible. The local guide will bring the history alive and take you to areas of the city you may not have time to explore independently during your stay. In the afternoon, enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea before having free time to explore at leisure. Overnight in a city centre hotel for the duration, with dinner arranged here or locally at a restaurant or traditional pub – as preferred.
Day 2 – An early start after breakfast with a transfer to the iconic Westminster Abbey, famed as the last resting place of 16 kings and queens. After, take the short walk to the river and board the boat to cruise the River Thames – a great alternative view from which to see the city, and disembark at the Tower of London. With a history stretching back over 900yrs, there is much to see, not least the famous Crown Jewels and Beefeaters. You can also add a visit to neighbouring Tower Bridge, or return to the hotel via St Paul’s Cathedral, taking in the early evening Evensong. Evening at leisure to explore independently.
Day 3 – A full day visit to Greenwich. With a village atmosphere, this is best visited on a Saturday or Sunday when the craft and food markets are open and area has a bustling feel to it. There is much to see and do here including The National Maritime Museum, the world famous Cutty Sark, the more obscure but very interesting Fan Museum, and perhaps the highlight - the Royal Observatory with the Meridian Line running alongside it. From here, the views across Greenwich Park and London itself are second to none. Greenwich can be reached by the under and over ground train system, the Thames Clipper (cruise) or via a private motor coach.
Day 4 – This morning, take a journey to Windsor. This lovely town is dominated by the world famous Castle and parklands, with a visit highly recommended. Usually included is admission to St George’s Chapel, which is regularly the setting for Royal weddings. The town itself is well worth exploring, and a short walk brings you to neighbouring Eton. Return to central London via the Royal Botanic Kew Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage site with over 50,000 plants to discover. For the last night in the city, enjoy an evening at the theatre and one of the many leading shows the West End has to offer
Day 5 – After breakfast, depart for your onward travel. Given London’s location, it is possible to travel on to almost all regions of England and Wales in a day – or alternatively, perhaps take the Eurostar to mainland Europe to continue your adventure

Floriade is the Netherlands' once in a decade horticultural event. Staged in Almere, close to Amsterdam and themed around 'The Green City of the Future', this huge expo site is already under construction. Visitors can expect a festival to stimulate all the senses.
The Passion Play is a testimony of religious faith and outstanding tradition. The singing, acting and staging are magnificent. Tours usually combine the Passion Play and a second centre destination. Early planning is essential.
