Fundraising News - May 2024
Happy Spring Everyone! Lots of fundraising happening at the moment - here's a round-up from the last few months.
WE DID THE GLASGOW KILTWALK! On a lovely sunny Sunday, 9 participants walked over 100 miles, raising an amazing £2440 to date. Perfect weather! No blisters reported! Lots of smiles and support!
Well done you guys - we're proud of you for your walking and fundraising efforts.  And the good news is, our justgiving page is still open for donations!
Our dedicated volunteer, Marjorie Thoms, has now completed the Coast to Coast trek from Kirkby Stephen to Robin Hood's Bay to raise funds for us. So far, Marjorie has managed to raise an amazing £785!  Marjorie's journey spans a total of 107 miles through the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District, Cumbria, the Yorkshire Dales, the Vale of Mowbray and the North York Moors.

Marjorie, who has volunteered with us for over 7 years said, "I am truly inspired by the incredible work Carers Link does to support unpaid carers in East Dunbartonshire and invite you to join me on my walk by supporting my fundraising campaign."

You can support Marjorie by donating via her justgiving page here.
A huge thanks also to Aine Lynch who is running the 2024 Women's 10K Glasgow for us on 16 June and has raised £422, smashing her target of £300, with over a month to go.
You can support Aine through her justgiving page.
Campsie Floral Art Club held a very successful Open Night in November 2023 with demonstrator Linda Souter and raised an amazing £400 for our carers!

The photograph shows Margaret Crane (right), Chair of the Campsie Floral Art Club, with Shona Ferguson (left), Carers Link Board member and carer, who gave a talk about Carers Link, and Christine Inglis, one of our volunteers who provides support through Carers Call.
