An update from your local team

Some of our practitioners are currently getting ready to undertake training in a form of Narrative Therapy which uses the language of sport to identify key support people or 'team-mates' in the life of the child or young person. This builds resilience by enabling them to build a sense of social support and connected identity.

This week we've been excited to receive some of the lovely pictures and poems that our Wirral school children have created as part of Children's Mental Health week. We are in the process of displaying them and the finished product will be shared.
Maintaining Healthy Relationships

ZILLO is a website for young people living in Wirral. It provides the lowdown on the latest events, arts, culture, news and expert health and wellbeing advice.
In celebration of Valentine's day last week they have done a feature giving tips and advice on how to build and maintain healthy, respectful relationships and to also explore difficult topics like consent. Child in Mind Podcast

The Anna Freud Centre has produced a podcast series, Child in Mind, which is presented by BBC Radio 4 presenter Claudia Hammond. In each 20-minute episode, she discusses an important issue in child and family mental health with an expert and a young person or parent. The themes covered by the podcast are varied and include eating disorders, how does therapy work, ADHD, bonding with your baby and the adolescent brain.
