Mental Health Support Team's Best Practice Event

On Tuesday the 17th May MHST are hosting an online event for all schools in Wirral and Cheshire running from 12:30-4:30pm.

Celebrating the work of our Mental Health Support Teams, and the achievements made by schools around improving their pupils' mental and emotional health.

Free Summer Holiday Activities with Lunch

Edsential are delighted to be coordinating the Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) for 2022 on behalf of Wirral Council and Cheshire West & Cheshire.  HAF provides enriching activities, delicious nutritious meals, and a chance for young people to meet new friends in a safe & fun environment during the school holidays.
They offer over 120 activities with lunch provided completely free for eligible children. Whether your child is 5 or 15, is football-mad, loves swimming, forest school or day trips; you can browse and book a suitable club in a few simple clicks.

Next Steps Cards – New Training Dates!

Next Steps is designed to support anyone who cares for children and young people.  

Created by both young people and mental health experts, the colourful toolkit provides the perfect platform to enable safe and structured conversations with young people who may be struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2022

Monday 9th May marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. This year's theme focuses on loneliness.
The Red Cross have released a range of resources  for professionals and parents to teach children and young people about what loneliness is, how to talk about it and how to tackle it.
