New export licences will impact supply of key materials
New Chinese licensing on the export of Graphite, Gallium and Germanium could hit the supply chains for sector-leading UK industries, argues supply chain expert INVERTO. UK businesses won’t be immediately starved of product, but INVERTO is advising companies to start planning now, with measures including establishing long-term contracts with suppliers to secure a stable supply, and diversifying the supply chain to reduced dependency on a single source. The organisation also believes there is merit in investing in R&D for alternative materials or processes.

Putting EnDat 3 into practice

STOBER has enhanced its One Cable Solution (OCS) so that users can now connect motors and drive controllers at distances of up to 100 using the EnDat 3 protocol from Heidenhain.
