Manufacturing recovery reliant on the right fiscal policies

Stability looks to be returning for manufacturing, and while a possible recession through 2024 is still a concern, Interact Analysis suggests that it is not likely to be sharp and should end relatively swiftly – so long as governments implement the right policies to stimulate growth without creating runaway inflation. That’s a timely reminder for the Chancellor as he looks to make his Autumn Statement this month: our sector has told him what it needs; now it’s up to the Government to deliver.
