Manufacturing sector production returning to pre-pandemic levels

Skills shortages and supply chain pressures remain key challenges, but almost three quarters (70%) of engineers working in UK manufacturing report that business has returned or even exceeded pre-pandemic production volumes, according to the State of Manufacturing 2023 report by Essentra Components. CEO Scott Fawcett noted that none of us can afford to be complacent or ignore the challenges ahead, but added: “Neither should we ever doubt the resilience of the manufacturing industry, and its ability to surprise.”
