A focus on automation could mitigate the recruitment crisis
Engineering job application numbers have seen a sharp decline, with firms struggling to recruit in an ever-growing skills short environment. According to the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo), the number of job vacancies for 2023 are, so far up 5% on last year’s figures, which indicates tough competition for engineering talent. With employers struggling to recruit, now is surely the time for an increased focus on automation. We’ve long extolled the benefits of automation in increasing production efficiency and agility, but it can go a long way to solving the recruitment crisis too.
With best regards
