End users more open than ever to digital twin technology

New research from Capgemini suggests that 60% of organisations across different industrial sectors are leaning on digital twins to accelerate both their operational performance and sustainability agenda. And with digital twin implementation set to increase by 36% over the next five years, the appetite for this virtual replica technology is growing. Machine builders will know all about the benefits of digital twins in managing the lifecyle of machinery, and will undoubtedly have been talking to end user customers about these benefits. But the opportunity has grown, with businesses large and small looking to build their ESG commitments. Some 57% of organisations agree that improved sustainability efforts is one of the key drivers of their digital twin investments, while 34% are looking to digital twins to help them understand and predict energy consumption and emissions. And that, in turn, could represent an opportunity for machine builders.

With best regards
