Energy efficiency must be a key focus

Ofgem has warned that energy bills are like to rise even more than predicted, which will be a key concern for manufacturing companies, who are already paying far more for energy than domestic consumers. The cynical would say this is because domestic consumers have a vote with which to express their discontent, while businesses do not. Regardless, manufacturers will be looking for ways to cut their energy costs. And machine builders have a role to play, by encouraging companies to adopt energy saving technologies in new machines and upgrades. These technologies are surely now more important than ever.

With best regards
