Exploiting opportunities where we find them

Economists I speak to are reporting signs of a slowdown in industry, the consequence of rising interest rates and stubbornly high inflation. Manufacturing saw a 3.3% contraction last year, and the forecast this year is for a further 0.3%. That’s not good news, but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t pockets of opportunity; and for adhesives suppliers, the electronics sector might represent just that. It’s one sector that’s seeing real growth at the moment, and optimism is high that the growth will continue. If there’s one thing we learned from the financial crash of 2008, it’s that we should never have all of our eggs in one basket. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look to exploit an opportunity when it comes along.

With best regards
