Short-term solution, but no long-term visionThe Chancellor’s Autumn Statement might have promised £4.5bn in support for strategic manufacturing industries, but how and when these funds might be delivered will be a key question for many. And it seems to be little more than a sticking plaster, failing to provide any sort of comprehensive industrial strategy.
