New calls for a forward-looking industrial strategy

The latest PMI figures make grim reading, with demand slowing and manufacturers looking to reduce investment. MHA has added its voice to the clamour for a forward-looking industrial strategy, with partner Chris Barlow saying: “The upcoming autumn statement should include measures like lowering the 25% corporation tax and reversing R&D cuts, especially for SMEs.” Surely by now the government must be listening.
