Fastening and joining considerations are now more important than ever

We often talk about design for assembly and, increasingly frequently, design for disassembly, but with the recently introduced ‘right to repair’ legislation, we now also to need to factor design for reassembly into our thinking. Manufacturers were given a two year window to act on the new legislation in their designs, but the first of those has gone, and the July 2023 deadline will come all too soon. It makes considerations for fastening and joining techniques within a product design more important than ever.

With best regards
