Invest in automation today to reap the benefits tomorrow

Updated research by Interact Analysis shows that the current economic turbulence will continue to have a dampening effect on the global manufacturing industry, and that the slowdown previously predicted for 2026 will arrive two years earlier. The UK is expected to be hit hard – manufacturing shrank 4.3% in 2022 and Interact Analysis expects it to shrink a further 1.2% in 2023 before growing by just 1.2% CAGR between 2022 and 2027. This all makes pretty grim reading, and it can be difficult to find positives. But investment in automation in times of adversity can set businesses up to reap the benefits and fully exploit the opportunities when growth returns. The companies that invest now will be those that are best placed kick on as the market picks up.

With best regards
