Robotics and automation can address key manufacturing hurdlesA short-term approach to capital investment, a common misperception that the technology is expensive and complex, and a cultural resistance to replacing outdated equipment, mean that the UK is lagging much of the industrialised world in automation generally and robotics in particular.
