Automation drives big jump in productivity

Data from the ONS highlights that UK manufacturers have seen big improvements in productivity over the last couple of years. After years of seeing very little in change in productivity, average productivity has been steadily rising, and in the 12 months from Q3 2022 to Q3 2023 grew by 8.2%. That surely demonstrates the value of automation, and hopefully manufacturers will now be hungry for more.
