Manufacturing has low workplace satisfaction

A worrying report has emerged from The Futures Group which highlights the manufacturing sector as having low workplace satisfaction – worse even than accounting, healthcare and hospitality in the organisation’s newly developed Career Happiness Index. No wonder, then, that our sector is struggling to attract new talent. I’ve mentioned this before, but automation really could be an important way forward – not just to mitigate labour shortages but also to provide employees with more fulfilling opportunities. I wonder if this is a message machine builders should be pushing to customers?

With best regards
