Government urged to address skills gap timebomb

Manufacturers are urging future governments to tackle the skills gap "timebomb". Steve Horne, CEO of GSF Car Parts, described the skills gap as an "artificial straightjacket" around ambitious companies that want to grow in the UK. This latest call follows a report in January where one in three manufacturing project managers said the skills gap was getting worse. It will be interesting to see what solutions the various political parties will be offering as we head into the General Election.

With best regards
