Looking at opportunities in servitisation

In a recent conversation, that old chestnut about British manufacturers being unwilling to invest came up again, but the latest data puts new context onto that rather hackneyed debate, with research from Novuna Business finding that 28% of SMEs are being turned down for business funding. Further, the difficulty in accessing funding is putting large numbers of businesses off even applying. For the machine builders supplying those companies, with their own cost challenges to manage, reducing prices certainly isn't an option - but I wonder if there are opportunities to offset upfront machine costs against ongoing services like remote monitoring, predictive maintenance and other added-value offerings?

With best regards
