Focusing on the sectors that are seeing growth

Across the manufacturing sector, companies expect to increase output through the summer, but the CBI notes that any growth is going to be gradual and inventory levels are relatively high. For machine builders looking to drive new business or expand into new sectors, it is notable that the it is the food and drink, automotive and chemicals manufacturing sectors that are the key industries behind the growth reported in the CBI's latest Industrial Trends Survey.
