Moving beyond ambition to make opportunities happen

According to Make UK, 87% of manufacturers say they are at a disadvantage compared to international competitors because of a lack of a UK industrial strategy. So the organisation is calling on the next government to take key actions to support and grow the sector, and has set these out in its Makers’ Manifesto. Politicians might state their ambitions, but Make UK emphasises that we now need to move beyond ambition and make the opportunities happen, and the government has a key role to play.
