UK manufacturers slower to adopt AI than European counterparts
The vast majority of UK manufacturers report that they optimistic about the potential of AI in their business, but fewer than 40% are actually planning to implement it, according to a new report from Protolabs. This represents a slower approach than European counterparts, where 71% of French businesses, 50% of Germans and 44% of Italians say they are looking to adopt the technology. There are numerous applications where AI could be beneficial, from predictive maintenance to performance optimisation. We talk frequently in this country about the productivity puzzle; could AI be part of the solution?
