Food and beverage sector surges ahead with robots

According to the Food and Drink Federation, the UK's food and drink industry is the nation’s largest manufacturing sector. It is also the UK's biggest user of robots – and this from an industry that has traditionally been regarded as a slow adopter of automation technologies. Perhaps it's no coincidence, then, that in a challenging economic environment when many manufacturing sectors are showing little, if any, growth, the food and beverage sector is surging ahead.
