Does national insurance hike boost the argument for automation?

At a time when skilled labour is in short supply and when wages have surged, the Chancellor's rise in employer national insurance contributions, as well as lowering the threshold at which businesses start paying national insurance on workers' earnings, won't have been welcomed by food manufacturing businesses. Companies are arguing that it will make hiring staff and creating jobs more difficult. So does this make the case for automation of labour-intensive manual processes even more compelling?

With best regards
