Key product development trends for manufacturers in 2025

Protolabs has identified three key elements for product development that manufacturers must improve if they are to succeed in 2025. They need to accelerate the process, move towards co-innovation with their customers, supply chain and other partners, and plan for scalability from the beginning. In particular, the company notes that, in the race to be first to market, manufacturers must still test and validate the idea with the customer. And it highlights how technologies such as AI, digital twinning and rapid prototyping exist to help you speed up each phase of product development.
