Adopting technology to increase productivity and drive growth

Manufacturing output looks to have contracted during the fourth quarter of 2024, and conditions for 2025 remain challenging, says the CBI. With continuing weak demand and rising costs, businesses will be looking for government support to mitigate the impact of the Budget. Perhaps some of that help could come from Made Smarter, the government-backed programme helping manufacturers adopt technology. Most recently, Made Smarter Adoption North West has secured an additional £230k funding to help companies adopt the likes of sensors and robotics to increase productivity and drive growth.
