Industry 5.0 is the future of manufacturing

An interesting perspective on Industry 4.0 comes from Yushiro Kato, co-founder and CEO of CADDi, who says that Industry 4.0 is failing to deliver on its promises, with digital transformation not resulting in the expected boost in productivity. He argues that a lot of this is due to human oversight, and that Industry 5.0, shifting the focus back to people, is the way forward. Driving changes in culture, it will help manufacturers to attract and retain talent, and enables manufacturing operations where the tech augments human expertise rather than replacing it. Highlighting the successes of companies which have adopted Industry 5.0, he notes that real results are possible with the right approach.

With best regards
