Automation and smart processing can drive growth in food processing

A new report from Market Research Future points to a period of expansive growth for the food processing market as it adapts to evolving consumer behaviours and technological disruption. The convergence of digitalisation, sustainability and food innovation is expected to redefine the landscape, opening up new opportunities for players across the value chain. There are still significant challenges for the sector, not least the growing skills shortage, volatility in raw material prices, supply chain disruption and the stringent regulatory environment, but the report highlights that the rise of automation and smart processing can be a key driver for growth.
