Removing trade friction to improve growth prospects

With a reduction in Trump's tariffs for the UK's automotive and steel sectors, plus the trade deal with India, and now the agreement with the EU for easier trade within the food and drink sector, the sense of optimism for the year is growing. Certainly chancellor Rachel Reeves was adamant that the UK economy was beginning to turn a corner. But there is much more to be done; Make UK in particular is arguing for more progress on work with the EU, and hopes that this week's political summit will be just the beginning of further refinements to future trading arrangements so trade and growth prospects can continue to be improved for companies on both sides of the Channel.

With best regards
